Team Vitality Wins StarLadder StarSeries Season 20 As Grand Final Peaks at Over 318,000 Viewers
Team Vitality defeated Aurora Gaming 3-1 in the Grand Final to win StarLadder StarSeries Season 20, the $500,000 Counter-Strike 2 tournament held September 17-20. Fans from around the world watched 5.3 million hours of the anniversary edition, according to viewership data from Esports Charts, StarLadder’s official viewership analytics partner.
The Biggest Stage, the Biggest Audience
Vitality's title run reached its climax against Aurora, with the pair meeting again in the Grand Final after their earlier clash in the Upper Bracket. The rematch pulled the tournament’s biggest audience, peaking at 313,618 viewers. Their first meeting had already put the matchup among the event’s biggest draws, while Vitality’s final day series against FURIA gave fans another big matchup to follow.

The Road to StarSeries Season 20
Teams across three regions fought for a place at the StarSeries Season 20 Main Event.
Aurora took the spotlight across the three regions, with their Play-In match against HOTU peaking at 52,076 live viewers. The team also featured in two other high-viewership matches against TN and K27.
MIBR vs LYP was South America’s most-watched matchup, while NRG vs Voca led the North American qualifier.
A Global Audience
StarSeries Season 20 had fans tuning in across five streaming platforms.
Kick led the chart with 52.5% of total Hours Watched (2,819,460 hours), followed by Twitch at 31.2% (1,677,348 hours) and YouTube at 16.1% (868,860 hours). The remaining hours were spread across two additional platforms.
