StarSeries 19 Kicks Off: 5 Days of Qualifier Action Underway

StarSeries is back for its 19th season, and the road to the LAN Playoffs in Budapest has officially begun. From August 13 to 17, the European Closed Qualifier takes centre stage, as 16 teams fight for 4 coveted spots at the main event.

European Closed Qualifier

•     •    Group Stage – Four GSL-style Double Elimination groups, all matches Bo3.
•     •    Play-In – Single Elimination bracket, all matches Bo3.

The Closed Qualifier is split into 4 groups of 4 teams, each playing a best of 3 format in 5 days of non-stop action. Only the top team from each group will get their slot to the LAN playoffs in Budapest.

LAN Playoffs in Budapest

All roads lead to Budapest, Hungary, where the StarSeries 19 LAN playoffs (no onsite audience) will run from September 18–21, following a Double Elimination format and featuring:

•     •    4 invited teams based on the Global VRS ranking
•     •    4 winners from the EU Online Qualifier

Here, the season’s best will compete for the glory, a $500,000 prize pool, and VRS points that could shape their Major journey; and you can be part of the crowd at the Major, taking place November 24–December 14! 
Expect epic plays and top production, all broadcasted by us as these top tier teams strife for the victory.
