Renegades, Liquid, Na’Vi round out the list of teams for The New Champions Stage

Renegades, Team Liquid, and Na’Vi are the last teams to qualify for The New Champions Stage of StarLadder Major Berlin 2019, which will be taking place on September 5-8 in Mercedes-Benz Arena.

The final day of The New Legends Stage kicked off with a decider match between G2 Esports and Renegades. The Australian team prevailed on Vertigo 16-11, but G2 struck back with a victory on their signature map Dust II 16-11, so it all came down to Inferno. There, RNG had a solid T showing, picking up 8 rounds in the first half, and closed out the game on the CT side 16-9. Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas was the most valuable player in this series as he averaged a 1.25 KDR (62-41 K-D).

After that, mousesports faced off against the #1 team in the world, Team Liquid. Liquid beat their opposition in two maps, but both of them went to the overtime (19-17 Mirage, 22-20 Dust II). The highest-rated player of this match was Keith "NAF" Markovic, who had 1.26 KDR (60-45 K-D) and 78.8 ADR when he left the server.

The last ticket to the Top 8 was acquired by Natus Vincere. The CIS team recovered from losing the first map Mirage 11-16 as they took CR4ZY down on the following maps (16-12 Inferno, 16-4 Nuke). At the end, it was Denis "electronic" Sharipov who delivered an MVP performance, boasting a 1.40 KDR (72-43 K-D) and 95.8 ADR.
