dignitas — the winners of WESG Europe+CIS

In the Grand-final of the offline-qualifiers for WESG Europe+CIS were fighting dignitas and Team Russia. Within the semi-final matches, the Danes prevailed over Team Kinguin, while the Russian squad overpowered the Poles from Virtus.pro.

A meeting was set off on de_mirage — a choice of Team Russia. The Russian players kicked off with a highlight reel, performing a series of four victorious rounds. Right after it, the Danes re-captured the control and then leveled the game for a while [4:4], eventually outscoring the opponent.

dignitas — the champions of WESG Europe+CIS

Team Russia were trying to cut down the backlog, but dignitas happened to be stronger and finished the side in their favor [9:6]. After the switch-over, the Danish squad went on dominating the rivals and, losing out only one round, triumphed on the first map [16:7].

The clash was resumed on a pick of dignitas — de_cobblestone. The team from Denmark picked up 6 rounds at a run, but then Team Russia managed to break up the shutout [1:6]. Then dignitas secured the initiative again and went for a changeover with an advantage of 7 points [11:4]. CT-sided, the Russian squad failed to pick up a single round and was defeated on the second map [4:16].

Eventually, dignitas secured the first place in the final stage of European qualifiers for WESG and won a prize fund of¥200,000 (∼30 000$).
