VP seized the first place at BTS #4 Europe

A victory at the BTS #4 tournament, among the teams from Europe and CIS was secured by Virtus.Pro. In the final meeting VP overpowered Elements Pro Gaming, thus gaining the champions’ title of BTS Series, the first one after the changes in a roster.

A new Alexey "Solo" Berezin's roster proved to be the strongest at BTS #4 Europe

It’s worth noting that in the semi-finals, the Russian squad had confidently defeated F.R.I.E.N.D.S. with the scoreline of [2:0]. Elements Pro Gaming, in turn, had dealt with Vega Squadron right before the finals [2:0].

On the first map of a decisive countering, Elements Pro were leading the starting gaming stage. After a few successful team-fights – Virtus.Pro re-captured the initiative, draing a line under the first map already on the twenty-sixth minute [1:0].

Up from the very start of the second map, none of the teams was able to secure the lead, when constantly swapping the victories in team-fights. However, it was up to Elements Pro Gaming to use the opponents’ missteps and to take the lead over the game’s landscape, leveling the score in a final meeting [1:1].

Nevertheless, VP managed to get back on track on the decisive map. Largely due to the incredible game by Ilya «Lil» Ilyuk at the support's role on Phantom Assassin, the Russian team prevailed over Elements Pro, ending the match with [2:1] in their favor.

Thus, the final results of the Play-offs stage at  the BTS #4 are looking as follows:

  • 1st place:  Virtus.Pro
  • 2nd place:  Elements Pro Gaming
  • 3-4th places:  Vega Squadron и  F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

We’d like to remind you that this online-championship was offering $5,000. The tournament’s victors, players from Virtus.Pro, will get $2,500. Elements Pro Gaming take the prize fund of $1,500, while F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Vega Squadron will settle for $500.
