Vitality to fill in for HellRaisers at StarSeries i-League S7

The French team has taken over HellRaisers’ spot for the upcoming LAN-finals of StarSeries i-League S7. The decision to withdraw from the event comes from the fact that HR are yet to fill the gap in their starting lineup, as they are still in search of a fifth player.

Team Vitality is one of the best teams France has to offer. Right now, they are on the 9th place in’s world rankings. The Frenchmen have already tried to secure a ticket to the championship in Shanghai, competing in the European Qualifier back in December, but they were prevented from doing that by losing to Team Spirit in the final match.

As well as the other fifteen teams in attendance, Vitality will start their performance in a common group that is set to be held according to the rules of Swiss System BO3. When this part of the competition is finished, eight strongest lineups move on to the Playoffs in a Single Elimination bracket. All matches aside from the final will be played in Best of 3, while the new champions of StarSeries i-League CS:GO will be defined in Best of 5.

The final part of StarSeries i-League S7 will be hosted in Shanghai from March 30 to April 7. The tournament’s prize pool has been increased to $500,000, compared with the previous season.
