The first team to be granted a ticket to Kiev was Team Dignitas. The performance of  the Danish five was set off from the initial stage of the qual. — group stage. having dealt with AGG and NokSuKao, dignitas secured the advance from the group.

The further way of the Danes was made through Kinguin, FlipSid3 and EnVyUs. Team Dignitas overpowered all the rivals, so we'll be able to witness their game at the offline-finals of SL i-League StarSeries S2.

The second slot in the LAN-finals from StarLadder was clinched by Team X. Just as Team Dignitas, the team of Andreas «MODDII» Fridh has started from the group stage of the championship. The Frenchmen have almost effortlessly gained the upper hand, as they had been invited directly to the quarter-finals of the qual. nV managed to deal with Team Spirit, but then they've lost out to dignitas and went to the Relegation Final. However, EnVy coped with the increased tension and prevailed over HR, securing an advance to the LAN.

A system of the NA-quals was like the European one: the group stage and the Play-off in a format of «Single Elimination BO3». Nevertheless, only two teams have managed to gain the ultimate victory, securing tickets to the decisive stage of the tournament.

The next finalists of SL i-League StarSeries S2 became OpTic Gaming and Immortals. The NA and Brazilian squads have started their performance from the second qualifier's stage, being already invited. While OpTic overwhelmed CLG and Cloud9, the former Tempo Storm triumphed over Luminosity Gaming and Renegades.
