SL i-League CS:GO Invitational: Virtus.Pro

The polish old-timer, champions of the EMS One Katowice Major in 2014, owners of a huge fan base and just «the bears» from Virtus.Pro very soon will go to SL i-League CS:GO Invitational, which will be taking place in Kiev from May 19-22. It's noteworthy that VP didn't manage to get through the qualifiers for the previous offline final in Minsk, having taken the last place in the group stage.

The team hasn't been showing stable results online recently, but offline the players have been surprising both the fans and haters. Prior to the upcoming championship we've decided to ask a few questions to VP's coach — Jakub «kuben» Gurczyński.

You weren't able to show your best at the previous StarLadder's tournaments. Are you ready to break that series of misfortunes?

It is true. Our recent results at tournaments in Kiev were not the best. Not to mention about the fact that for the last SLTV we did not even go through the online qualifiers. We hope that this time we'll make it at least into the final of the tournament!

— Were you happy to get invited to the offline finals in Kiev? Is it good for you to visit this city again?

It's always a pleasure to visit Kiev. It was a second home for us in the past, while I was playing. Thanks to the invitation we received, we can come once again to this beautiful city.

— Recently your team has been under fire by players and analysts of the CS:GO scene. Does it influence your inner determination anyhow?

It depends if you are reading this or not. A lot of sportsmans have finished their career because they could not handle what people were saying after their defeats. We are more trying to look into the good thing we do and develop. Our determination is still high and we will not give up!

— Virtus.Pro is known as a team with a wide map-pool. In your opinion, on which maps do your opponents have chances to beat you?

I think our weakest maps are Mirage and Train and every team has a chance to beat us on these maps.

— Who will be the in-game leader in upcoming SL i-League CS:GO Invitational?

We will keep it as a secret :)

— Which teams you'd like to meet the most during the upcoming event?

I think most of the crowd would like to see Virtus.pro vs NaVi in the finals, so do I.
