Participant-list of the ECS S2 LAN-finals is complete

Today, on November 27, was held the final match of the qualifying stage for the LAN-finals of the Esports Championship Series S2. Four European squads completed the list of participants of the ECS S2 final stage, which will start on December 9.

A list of the winners of ECS Season 2 European division:

  •  Astralis (gla1ve, dupreeh, device, Kjaerbye, Xyp9x)
  •  FaZe Clan (karrigan, rain, aizy, kioShiMa, allu)
  •  Team EnVyUs (SIXER, kennyS, apEX, Happy, NBK)
  •  Team Dignitas (Magiskb0Y, cajunb, k0nfig, MSL, RUBINO)

The first place was occupied by the Danish team Astralis, who finished their performance in the group stage with 13 victories and 5 defeats on their board. The second and third lines were taken by FaZe Clan and Team EnVyUs respectively. The both teams gained 33 points each, but, due to a difference in the winning rounds, FaZe have stopped a line higher.

Astralis have shown a strong game within the qual-stage

A fight for the fourth place was unfolded between six teams: GODSENT, G2 Esports, NiP, Team Dignitas, Virtus.Pro and mousesports. The outcome of a competition was decided in the last match Ninjas in Pyjamas vs mouz. As the game was finished with a draw, dignitas secured the fourth place and a ticket to the LAN-finals of ECS Season 2.

It's worth noting that the winner of the first season of ECS — the French squad G2 Esports — failed to pass the qualifier and will miss the tournament's LAN-finals. Besides, as Virtus.Pro and fnatic took the last 9th and 10th places, they will have to play within the qual-stage at ECS Season 3. The rest of teams will surely get slots in the third season of Esports Championship Series.

The final list of participants at the LAN-finals of ECS S2 looks as follows:
Europe America
 Astralis  SK Gaming
 FaZe Clan  Cloud9
 Team EnVyUs  OpTic Gaming
 Team Dignitas  Immortals

A venue of the crucial stage of the second season of Esports Championship Series will be Anaheim Arena. A prize pool of the event, held from December 9-11, is amounted to $750,000.
