The vice-champions of the fifth season are coming back to Kiev
Both finalists kicked off their performance at StarSeries i-League GG.Bet Qualifiers with the Playoffs' stage in which they participated as the invited teams alongside Ghost Gaming and eUnited. On the way to the final match, NRG won over Bravado Gaming and Swole Patrol, 2-0 in both cases, while compLexity had to give their best to eventually beat Dignitas and TeamOne, finishing the matches in their favor on a 2-1 mark.
The match for the first ticket to the championship in Kiev went under the full control of NRG Esports, so they extended and saved their win-streak in the qualifier. Without much trouble, NRG won their map-pick — Nuke, with a 16-4 score and great T-performance, and then they did the rest on Inferno where coL managed to take only three more rounds away with 16-7 on the final scoreboard.
The name of the next participant of StarSeries i-League S6 Finals will be defined by the end of the European qualifier, which is going to last until August 5. The closing phase of the event will be held from the 7th to the 14th of October in Kiev Cybersport Arena. The prize-pool of the championship, with sixteen participants competing, will amount to $300,000.
