losefield — the triumphant of WESG APAC in Hearthstone

The LAN-finals of WESG APAC in Hearthstone has reached the end and now we know a name of the winner, who secured the champion's title and a cash prize of ¥80 000.

Let us remind you that in the final stage of the offline-qualifier WESG APAC in Hearthstone were fighting 17 players from all over the region. The tournament's participants were playing for¥182 000 (~$28 000) and 6 tickets to the WESG Global Grand Finals, with a total prize pool of ¥24 650 000 (~ $3 700 000).

In the tournament's Grand-final were battling two players from Hong Kong: Tsun «losefield» Wing and Leung «Shy» Pak Kan. losefield proved to be stronger than his compatriot, securing a confident victory at [4:1].

In turn, the rivals in the third-place-decider match were Ryo «ReneKuroi» Shigekiyo and Pagorn «Mikka» Kitmanomai. By the results of all seven rounds in the bo7-match, ReneKuroi overpowered Mikka with [4:3] and, thus, secured the bronze.

Not-less-important matches were held within the lower part of the Playoffs' bracket, where was decided a destiny of 2 tickets to the WESG Global Grand Finals. The decider-fights were picked up by Euneil «Staz» Javinas and Michael «LordZeoLite» Ackroyd, who triumphed over Cameron «hughesy« Hughes and Phun «Gilgamesh« Chai Wai respectively.

The final results of WESG APAC in Hearthstone:

  • 1st place:  Tsun «losefield» Wing — ¥ 80 000
  • 2nd place:  Leung «Shy» Pak Kan — ¥ 40 000 
  • 3rd place:  Ryo «ReneKuroi» Shigekiyo — ¥ 20 000 
  • 4th place:  Pagorn «Mikka» Kitmanomai — ¥ 10 000
  • 5-6 places:  Euneil «Staz» Javinas и  Michael «LordZeoLite» Ackroyd — ¥ 8 000 each
