EnVyUs — champions of Gfinity CS:GO Invitational
In the grand-final countering of Gfinity CS:GO Invitational we've witnessed the clash between EnVyUs and mousesports. In their by-past matches of the championship, the Frenchmen dealt with Epsilon, while the EU-squad defeated GODSENT.
The stand-off kicked off on de_cache — a pick of mousesports. EnVy prevailed in the pistol-round, but their rivals failed to realize a «force-buy». Then the French squad retook the initiative again and outran the opponent. Mouz tried to cut down the backlog again, but, at the end of the first map, on their board were only four points [4:11].
The Frenchmen gained the upper hand on the enemy's pick
After the changeover, Niko and his teammates managed to turn the tide of the meeting and, over time, to level the game for a while [11:11]. Soon mousesports reached the map-point [15:11], however the Frenchmen braced up and moved the game to the overtimes [15:15].
The first half of the over's was finished in favor of mouz [17:16]. CT-sided, EnVyUs gained the victorious points and drew a line under the battle on Cache [19:17].
The second map in the bo5-confrontation was de_cobblestone. Mouz triumphed over the contestant in the pistol, but the following five rounds were secured by EnVyUs. Playing for the side of defense, the European team put on its board five points. Respectively, the Frenchmen went for a switch-over with the double advantage [10:5].

CT-sided, EnVy picked up the pistol-round and two anti-eco's. mousesports managed to re-clinch the control for a few times more, but the French five proved to be stronger and won on Cobblestone [16:12].
After a break, teams met on de_dust2 — a choice of mouz. With a confident start, they took four rounds at a run [4:0]. EnVyUs managed to break up the shutout only at the fifth round [4:1]. The European squad didn't give up and immediately retook the control over the game's tide. At the mark of [8:1], the Frenchmen interrupted an opponent's winning run, but the first half was still picked up by mousesports [11:4].
Having changed sides, EnVy clinched the initiative and caught up wit the rival [12:12]. In a further game, teams were swapping the rounds for a few times, but Dan «apEX» Madesclaire and his teammates managed to move ahead. Eventually, [16:14] and EnVyUs picked up Dust2.
EnVyUs become the champions of Gfinity CS:GO Invitational, gaining the prize pool of $50,000.
